Module content | A research term paper will be prepared. Introduction to transport planning processes and institutions in S.A. Introduction to contemporary issues in land use/transport planning (including in urban transport; rural transport; air transport; energy and environment). Social, economic, and political impacts and dependencies of transport. Project evaluation, discounting, inflation, engineering economic studies. Benefit - cost analysis. Risk and sensitivity analysis. Social accounting for transport projects. |
